The 2014 Omnibus Bill Appropriations provides for $10.2 billion in funding support energy programs and stimulate the U.S. competitiveness to advance innovation that helps support the nations energy independence.

President Obama requested funding to help the country be more resource efficient utilizing domestic resources and reduce energy costs.

Within the Omnibus Bill, The Department of Energy will grant $1.9 billion in for energy efficiency and renewable energy programs;

$562 million in funding for research and development to advance coal, natural gas, oil and other fossil energy technologies;

$889 million in funding for nuclear energy research and development;

$5.1 billion in funding for science research to help strengthen development in innovation supporting energy research, development of high-performance computing systems, and research into next generation of clean energy sources:

This bill will restore many of the cuts to the fusion energy program that the President proposed. The goal is to reduce the nation's dependence on foreign oil, and help promote jobs.

Within the Bill the Department of Interior will provide $1.1 billion to help manage, develop, and protect the water sources of western states.

             The 2014 Department of Transportation (DOT) discretionary budget is a total of $76.6 billion.

The DOT will kick-start job creation with $50 billion in direct investments in 2014 into infrastructure projects, improving roads, bridges, innovative transit systems, border crossing technology, railways and runways.

The DOT will also invest $10 billion in new technologies to incentivize infrastructure development.

The DOT will also invest nearly $1 billion in 2014 to grant funds to the next generation of air transportation systems to revolutionize modernization of our aviation system.

Spectrum Aero (Spectrum Aero-Home) is an example of revolutionary technology that will revolutionize the aviation world.

The DOT has nine (9) core areas for its grant funding initiatives:

1. Surface Transportation Improvement DOT-Surface
2. Accessibility to Disadvantaged Populations DOT-Disadvantage
3. Fixed Guide-way Systems DOT-Guideway
4. Rail DOT-Rail
5. Surface Transportation Planning DOT-Planning
6. Bike Pedestrian DOT-Bike
7. Marine Transport DOT-Marine
8. Air Transport DOT-Air
9. R & D DOT- R & D

The DOT implemented a $ 10 billion dollar dedicated funding program to improve efficient and reliability of a freight grant program.

This will include rail, highways and shipping ports-these grants will be a direct investment into the greatest needs of efficient trade across the country. This will help President Obama in his export initiative.

The DOT has a commitment to sustainable initiatives and outline's nine core goals in the Strategic Sustainable Performance Plan 2013 (SSPP)

1. Reducing Greenhouse gas emissions 

2. Sustainable Building

3. Fleet Management

4. Water Management

5. Pollution Prevention 

6. Sustainable Acquisition

7. Electronic Stewardship

8. Renewable Energy

9. Climate Change and Resiliency 

Their is billions of dollars for businesses that develop technologies that support these nine core goals of the DOT SSPP.

The grant funding programs are non-resource, non-dilutive  capital that can help jump-start your business.

          The U.S. Department of Agriculture funding initiatives and budget for fiscal year 2014.

The 2014 Department of Agriculture ("DOA") budget has $22.6 billion in discretionary funding.

The DOA will invest $4 billion in renewable and clean energy technology to support global competetiveness and U.S. independence in the renewable energy sector.

The DOA provides for $383 million in Food Reasearch and Development for nutrition, increasing productivity, combating obesity, food safety, bioenergy, sustainable agriculture, and solutions for global warming.

$7.1 billion will support supplemental nutrition for women, infants and children to ensure healthily birth, growth and development for low-income and nutritionally at risk woman and children up to age five.

The DOA can also provide funding and leveraged resources collaborating with Federal, State and tribal partners to accelerate conservation and improved water quality.

One of the top initiatives getting DOA funding support is for innovation in providing sustainable technology and practices to insure our future availability of the supply of food.

The DOA also has funding support for developing countries through research and technical assistance to find solutions for chronic hunger and support global food security.

                        Provides grants to support job creation in rural communities.

            Provides grants to help support the development of rural renewable energy.
